Towards water, towards fire - Marine Aïello

In the heat of July, I set off on an adventure with talented artist Marine Aïello to bring to life her deep black ceramic urns, beautifully named Formes Vagabondes. Fired in a wood-fired reduction kiln, they take their dark, singular color from there.

The idea behind this trip was to retranscribe Marine's universe, inspired by caves, adventure and nature. Chance led us to perfect locations, between stones, rivers and abandoned houses, which seemed to be waiting for these pieces to reveal their history, through earth, water, shadow and light.
